XL Catalyst Pedal

I didn’t know what to expect with this pedal. I liked my Wahoo pedals but after recent knee surgery I felt a little insecure unclipping in traffic and had gone back to a flat pedal. Then I saw the you had a larger pedal for larger shoe sizes and I was intrigued. I wear a 15. My first impression with your pedals is they they are heavy. I was concerned as I ride a front-wheel drive recumbent and that shift in weight distribution might be problematic. All concerns were assuaged seconds into my first ride with them. Instantly I felt connected to the pedals but now with the assurance that I could get out of them at will. They did not alter the balance or steering and the weight increase became negligible. By using my whole foot rather than just the ball of my foot I felt that I could relax more and/or use muscles not utilized before. It’s hard to describe. Most important was the feeling of being attached to them. I am very happy with these new pedals. It is just what I needed.

Best pedals I've ever owned. A huge immediate difference. A powerful upgrade for my size 13 feet on any bicycle. I am about to buy my second pair.

I’ve ridden the Catalyst XL pedals for 4-5 rides now, and they’ve honestly made a bigger difference than I expected. On rocky, rutted trails, the bike feels calmer under me—less twitchy, more centered. I can shift my foot forward or back a little depending on the terrain, and the platform still supports me. I've crested a difficult hump whereas before I would have dabbed.

The stability on descents is the biggest win. Between these pedals, my suspension seat post, and my suspension headset, the bike feels like it handles the bumps for me. It's a new stable feeling on fire trail descents!

Only downside: I’ve taken a couple of hits to my right shin. These pedals are not soft, and the studs are no joke. It’s not a flaw, just something to be aware of if you’re used to smaller platforms. I used Power Grip straps before this and find the Catalyst pedals feel even more stable. I have a size 14 foot. Overall, I’m really happy with them and plan to keep them on the bike full-time.

Best pedals I’ve ever had in all my years of riding , I have 3 bikes and 3 sets of these pedals , perfect for my size 17 shoe!

I currently own 3 pairs of these now. I bought my first pair about 3 years ago and have been hooked every since. I have a size 14 shoe, so the XL pedal fits my foot amazing. I feel super sturdy and I swap the pins over to the extra 8mm set to get that extra grip. Are they huge? Absolutely. Do people stare at them and ask me 100 questions? Absolutely. The people who appreciate them are other tall people like myself. I have recommended these to everyone. My whole crew rides these. I have them on my enduro bike, DH bike and now just bought a set for my gravel bike. Yes you heard that right, gravel bike.

The support and comfort are amazing. The pedals have elevated my riding so I am bicycling further with significantly less discomfort

I ride a recumbent trike. It's somewhat of a learning curve when you have your pedals out in front of you and you're not clipped in. I've learned to adjust using the Catalyst pedals and how much more comfortable they are to use, plus you can put more power down because you're using your whole foot and not just the metatarsals of your feet.

Have struggled for years finding a pedal that would feel comfortable for my sz14's.The xl's feel great and make me feel more connected with my bike.

This is my 4th pair of pedals. The customer service is top notch and the pedals are a notch higher. I use to like the Catalyst but after trying the Catalyst XL it’s all I will ride. The extra width is a game changer!

I have a bike with these pedals so i was spoiled and had to get another set for the new ebike. 6’-10”/270 w/sz15 shoes.

Feel more comfortable and secure in my riding!

Great product, took a minute to adjust to them, but my legs and ankles hurt less after the first ride!

Anything less than a Catalyst, is just less , and everything is kess

They feel amazing! I wear a size 14 shoe and this is the most supportive pedal if ever had.

Love these pedals. I have always ridden flats as wide as I could get them. This season as I rehab an ankle I discover these pedals! My foundation for riding is now so stable. No fatigue no pain.

Excellent pedals for any bike or trike.

These pedals are incredible. Down stroke, upstroke, nothing is lost. Honestly. Moved from clip to these after a few gravel incidents that left me frustrated. I was over it. And let me tell you, on courses-so many ask “Where did you get those???” The people asking are the ones who crash out on steep climbs… so I implore you to make the jump if you’re on the fence and have Fred flintstone feet like me. Get the larger pins offered too.

I have a recumbent trike and tried a couple of different types of pedals. I purchased the catalyst xl and it’s awesome. It has made my tike experience over the top. I have no more foot fatigue, knee or hip problems period. I have a size 16 shoe and the work perfect. I highly recommend getting these pedals, you will love them.

The only thing I dislike about these pedals is that they’re only available in BLACK..! This November I had no choice but to buy these in black cause it’s the ONLY color you offer ,they Don’t match with my Bike aesthetically ,but my feet love these Big Pedals

These petals are great. I love the power I can put in every stroke the way they handle when I’m coming off of jumps. these are the best pedals I’ve ever owned so far aside from my catalyst one pedels, I own three pairs of these pedals and will continue to purchase. My only complaint is the limited amount of colors.
