Luv these pedals. I ride an XC bike for the gear ratio on concrete and asphalt hills of 15 - 25 % gradients. Having the full foot support really makes a difference when having to standup and grind. Perfect solution.
I thought I might be solving a problem. I didn’t have when trying out these new pedals. It turns out they are super comfortable, and I really prefer them over my other pedals. I was worried that I would be clanging these on rocks more often because they’re longer than my normal pedals, but that has not been an issue at all. Overall, I’m super impressed and really pleased that I got these. The cost is very reasonable too. Would highly recommend.
I really like these pedals ! After getting used to the foot position I realized that my always achy IT band is feeling much better , that alone is worth it to me but I also feel more stable and safe with the grip of those 18 pins .
So I am buying another pair for my other bike right now .
Thanks Chris D
For me they were worth the price. They take getting used to. Foot placement is different than on a regular sized pedal. When standing or pedaling the larger pedal just feels better under the foot. Less stress on the arch.
I've been mountain biking for thirty years. Arthritis pain in my toes had begun affecting how long I could ride. After two-plus hours, a ride would shift from fun to misery. I already had the largest plastic pedals I could find, but the extra length and rigidity of the Catalyst pedals make a big difference. I am pain-free during rides. Wish I'd bought them a year ago.
Love them
Riding about 200 miles with a short learning curve. These are installed on a trike.
Absolutely awesome!
When I started riding seriously it was during the era of toe straps and slotted cleats. I was an early adopter of Look clipless pedals, and of SPDs. I have been riding studded flat pedals now for about 10 years.
The Pedaling Innovations Catalyst pedals and the idea of riding with the pedal spindle under the arch of my foot has been a game changer for me.
The comfort of having my feet supported with a wide pedal allows me to wear comfortable shoes. I like the convenience of not having to deal with hard soled shoes with cleats. Eighteen studs on each side of each pedal keep my shoes securely attached.
I use these pedals on my mountain bikes and on my road bikes.
Incredible quality and performance. Definitely exceeded my expectations. On my e-bke, analog and DH bike. I love my Peddles.
Great color hope it will last. I have yet to ride with this pair yet as they are for a recumbent trike and need to be fitted with heel slings. Other pairs on mtn bikes work fine so I foresee no problems.
My first rides with the pedals are promising
I m riding soon from Belgium to France, about 1100 km , I ll let you know afterwards what my impression is
These pedals are worth every dime. I have 10.5 size feet, and they cover just right. I don't feel foot pain.
